Clogs Cleared, Not Just Pushed Down the Line
A drain cleaning is more than running a snake until water moves again. The goal is to clear the line all the way through, not just punch a hole through the clog so water flows for a few days before it backs up worse than before. We use the right tool for the type and location of the clog: cable machines for grease, hair, and soap-scum buildup; sectional drum machines for longer runs and tougher blockages; and hydrojetting equipment for grease-heavy commercial lines and main sewer lines where high-pressure water cuts through buildup that a cable can’t fully clear.
Owner-operated by Nicholas Singleton, Texas Master Plumber RMP 41912, with more than 35 years in the East Texas plumbing trade. The same Master Plumber answers your call, drives to your address, runs the cleaning, and walks you through what we found. No commissioned dispatcher pushing you toward a sewer replacement when a drain cleaning is what you actually need.
We work residential and commercial. Restaurants with grease-line buildup, retail and office buildings with floor drains and grease traps, and homeowners with the everyday kitchen, bathroom, shower, tub, and main line clogs that show up across East Texas. Licensed, bonded, insured, and most calls handled the same business day.

When to Call for a Drain Cleaning
- Slow drain in one fixture
Just the kitchen sink, or just one bathroom shower, or just one tub. Water that takes 30 seconds to drain when it used to take 5 is a localized clog forming in the trap or branch line serving that fixture. Hair, soap scum, food waste, or grease are the usual causes. A drain cleaning visit clears it before it becomes a full backup.
- Standing water in the tub or shower
Water that fills around your ankles and stays there long after you’ve stopped the shower means the drain is mostly or fully blocked. In bathrooms, hair is the most common cause, often combined with shampoo and conditioner residue building up on the hair over time. We pull the stopper, run a cable through the trap, and flush the line to verify full flow.
- Smelly drain or sewer odor from a fixture
A drain that smells points to one of three things: a dry P-trap (run water in the fixture for 30 seconds and see if the smell stops), buildup of organic matter inside the trap or branch line, or a venting issue letting sewer gas back into the room. We diagnose which and clean or repair as needed. Sewer odor in the house is not normal and shouldn’t be ignored.
- Toilet that won't clear or backs up
A toilet that won’t flush or that backs up when you do flush has a clog somewhere between the bowl and the main line. Could be in the trap of the toilet itself, in the branch line, or further down the system if other fixtures are also affected. We auger the toilet, run a cable through the line if needed, and verify clear flow before leaving.
- Multiple drains slow at the same time
When the kitchen sink, the laundry, and a downstairs bathroom all start backing up together, the clog is past the individual fixtures and somewhere in the main drain line. This call often involves more than a fixture-level cleaning. We may need to access a cleanout to run a cable or jetter through the main line, and if the same clog has come back more than once, we’ll recommend a camera inspection to find out why.
What We Clean and How We Clean It
Kitchen and Bathroom Sink Drains
Sink clogs are usually grease, food waste, hair, or buildup of soap and toothpaste residue in the trap and branch line. We pull the trap to clear what’s right under the sink, then run a cable through the branch line to clear the rest. Most sink drain clogs are cleared in 30 to 60 minutes.
Shower, Tub, and Toilet Drains
Bathroom drain cleaning covers shower drains, tub drains, and toilet clogs. Hair is the most common cause for showers and tubs. Toilet clogs range from blockage right at the trap (often cleared with an auger) to deeper line clogs that need a cable run. We work all three fixtures and verify flow before closing the visit.
Main Line and Floor Drains
Main drain line clogs require accessing a cleanout to run a longer cable or hydrojetter through the line. Floor drains in basements, garages, and laundry areas often clog from soap scum, lint, and debris buildup over time. We carry the equipment to handle main line clearings up to 100 feet of line, and we can recommend a camera inspection if the same clog keeps coming back.
Commercial Drain Cleaning and Hydrojetting
Restaurants and commercial kitchens have grease line problems that don’t respond to a standard cable. We use hydrojetting (high-pressure water) to cut through grease buildup, scour the inside of the line back to bare pipe, and restore full flow. The same approach works on commercial floor drains and grease traps. We work with property managers, restaurant owners, and retail businesses across the six counties we serve.
Why a Professional Drain Cleaning Matters
- Skip the Chemical Drain Cleaners
Liquid drain cleaners on the supermarket shelf use harsh chemicals that damage older galvanized and cast-iron pipes, weaken the seals on plastic fittings, and rarely clear the actual clog. They sometimes punch a hole through soft buildup so water moves for a few days, but the clog reforms fast. We pull the buildup out instead of pushing it deeper.
- Same-Visit Resolution for Most Clogs
Most fixture-level and branch-line clogs are cleared in a single visit. Tougher main line work or grease-heavy commercial lines occasionally need a second visit with a hydrojetter, but we’ll know that on the first call and quote it accordingly. No multi-day appointments for what should be a 1 to 2 hour job.
- Recurring Clogs Get a Real Diagnosis
A clog that has come back twice in the same line is telling you something the cable alone won’t solve. Could be a partial pipe collapse, tree-root intrusion, a bellied section of line holding standing water, or a venting problem. When we see a recurring pattern, we recommend a sewer camera inspection so the next call doesn’t end the same way as this one.
- Master Plumber, Right Equipment, Right Price
Cable machines, sectional drum machines, and a hydrojetter on the truck. The right tool for the type and location of the clog, used by a Master Plumber who has cleared thousands of East Texas drains over 35+ years. Honest, flat pricing on the standard drain cleaning visit, with the more demanding work (hydrojetting, main line clearings, camera follow-up) quoted clearly before we start.
What a Drain Cleaning Call Looks Like
A typical drain cleaning visit goes like this: arrival and walkthrough of the affected fixture(s), brief diagnostic to confirm whether the clog is at the fixture, in the branch line, or in the main line, setup with drop cloths and protective coverings to keep the work area clean, running the appropriate machine through the trap or cleanout, clearing the clog all the way through (not just enough to get water moving), flushing the line with water to verify full flow, cleaning up the work area, and a final walkthrough so you can confirm the drain is running properly.
If the visit reveals something the cleaning alone won’t solve (a recurring clog pattern, a section of damaged line, tree roots), we stop, show you what we found, and quote the next step (camera inspection, line repair) before doing any additional work. The drain cleaning quote stands at the rate we agreed to. No surprise add-ons.

Sewer backup, sudden drain blockage with water on the floor, or any drain problem that can’t wait. Emergency plumbing response same-day during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Commercial plumbing for restaurants, retail, offices, and property managers needing commercial drain cleaning, grease trap service, hydrojetting, backflow testing, or kitchen equipment hookup.

I called them Friday and they said they’d be out first thing Monday morning and they were here by 8:30. They did high quality repair work on pipes and replaced two sink facets. It looks so much better than before and works like there was never an issue. The best part of this review is they were REASONABLE on charges. Highly recommend!

Drain Cleaning Questions
Straight answers. No filler.
How much does drain cleaning cost in East Texas?
A standard drain cleaning visit is one of the more affordable plumbing service calls. Cost depends on the type of fixture (toilet vs main line), whether a single drain or multiple drains need clearing, and whether the work requires a cable, a sectional drum, or a hydrojetter. We provide a written quote before any work begins, with no surprise charges added at the end.
Should I use chemical drain cleaners first?
No. They damage older pipes, can cause chemical burns if the line backs up onto a fixture, and rarely solve the underlying clog. If a fixture is slow, try a plunger first. If that doesn’t work, call us. We’ll clear the line mechanically without putting harsh chemicals into your system.
Do you offer same-day drain cleaning?
Yes, when scheduling allows. Same-day service is standard for most fixture-level clogs and many main line clogs during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. If your situation is urgent (sewage backing up, water on the floor), tell us on the first call and we’ll move you up the schedule.
What's the difference between drain cleaning and sewer line repair?
Drain cleaning clears what’s blocking the line. Sewer line repair fixes the line itself when it’s damaged. Most clogs are a cleaning call. When a camera inspection shows tree-root intrusion, a collapsed section, or a broken joint, that’s a repair call. We handle both, and we’ll tell you which one your situation calls for.
Do you handle commercial drain cleaning?
Yes. Restaurants, commercial kitchens, retail buildings, offices, and property managers across all six counties we serve. Hydrojetting for grease lines, floor drain clearing for floor drains, and main line work for full commercial sewer service. Same Master Plumber on every call.
